SASCO MOÇAMBIQUE COMMENCES TRADING

Sasco has been servicing the weighing needs of corporate customers in Mozambique for many years.

In March 2015 Sasco was appointed by the Port of Maputo, (MPDC)as its service provider. MPDC weighs approximately 900 trucks per day, and given the pivotal role MPDC plays in this volume of exports, downtime and inaccuracies have to be absolutely minimized. This resulted in the upgrade or replacement of all of MPDC 11 weighbridges to complete Bilanciai instrumentation.

In order to meet the needs of Sasco’s growing customer base in Mozambique, and to comply with Mozambique’s requirement that service and repair work undertaken on weighing systems that are used for trade purposes can only be done by registered and approved local Mozambique businesses. Sasco Moçambique, SA has been formed and is currently in the process of registering with INNQ, the National Institute for Standardization and Quality.
Sasco Moçambique offices are based in Maputo.
