In Africa, we suffer from a shortage of skills; this is as much true in core industrial sectors as it is in weighing.
Sasco recognized this reality several years ago and formed the Sasco Weighing Academy to provide training to our service professionals on key technical aspects of our instrumentation and weighing solutions.
Through our continuing engagement with our growing customer base, Sasco has realized that the skills shortage that exists among weighing service technicians also extends to customer staff engaged in various weighing related operations.
Addressing skills shortages requires training.
Sasco is excited to announce that the Sasco Accredited Weighbridge Operator course is now open for enrollment, participation, and exam-taking.
The first in a series of future online courses (coming soon).
This short online course provides weighbridge operators with the opportunity of formal job training and certification on passing the exam.
The course, which costs R4,000 + VAT, includes the following topics:
- Types of weighbridges.
- Understanding trade weighing.
- Weighbridge decks, load cells and indicators.
- Factors that impact accurate weighing.
- The correct weighing processes.
- Fundamentals of good housekeeping.
- Signs that a weighbridge is faulty.
- Introduction to health and safety, software and the verification process.
