UPGRADING WEIGHBRIDGES TO HANDLE 80T PBS TRUCKS.

The number of PBS Trucks on South African roads is growing rapidly. The challenge facing Transporters is how to contain costs.
One solution is to go the PBS Trucks route, which enables greater loads to be carried, thus reducing costs per tonne. PBS trucks carry loads that exceed 60 tonnes. South African weighbridges are, however, usually only approved to 60 tonnes.
Sasco is leading the way in assisting South Africa’s most prominent corporate groups in securing new 80-tonne trade approvals on existing weighbridges. Multiple enhanced 80-tonne approvals have been secured on various weighbridge deck types, all using SASCO Bilanciai instrumentation. It is to be noted that all 80-tonne approvals are site-specific.
